Medical Aesthetics State of Mind Salon & Day Spa Salon & Day Spa in Crown Point, Indiana
What Would You Like to Improve?
You don’t need to know which laser, facial or technology you need before you come to State of Mind Salon & Day Spa.
Start with what you see.
Maybe you’re noticing brown spots that weren’t there before. Your skin may look red, uneven or less smooth. Your jawline may not look as defined as it once did. You may be experiencing thinning hair, changes after significant weight loss or simply feel that your skin looks tired and needs a reset.
Our approach begins with the concern, not the machine.
We combine professional assessment, advanced aesthetic technology and individualized treatment planning to help determine which options may be appropriate for you.
Brown Spots, Pigmentation & Sun Damage
What can help brown spots and sun damage?
Light-based treatments may help improve the appearance of appropriate unwanted pigmentation, including sun-related brown spots, age spots and freckles. At State of Mind Salon & Day Spa, Stellar M22™ IPL by Lumenis may be recommended when pigmentation is an appropriate target.
What can help persistent facial redness and visible capillaries?
Certain light-based treatments can target appropriate vascular concerns and visible redness. Stellar M22 IPL may be recommended after evaluating the type of redness or visible vessels you are experiencing. Not every type of facial redness should be treated the same way, which is why assessment matters.
Changes in facial appearance can involve more than the surface of the skin. Facial muscle tone, skin quality, wrinkles and changing contours can all contribute to the way the face ages. TriLift™ by Lumenis combines Dynamic Muscle Stimulation, radiofrequency and RF-assisted microneedling technologies to address different components of facial appearance.
The right treatment depends on what is creating the uneven appearance. Surface congestion and enlarged-looking pores may require a different approach than acne scarring or more structural texture concerns. For appropriate resurfacing concerns, we may recommend ResurFX®, the 1565 nm fractional non-ablative laser technology available through our Stellar M22 platform. For congestion, hydration and surface-level skin concerns, a customized Hydrafacial® may be more appropriate.
What can I do when my skin just doesn’t look healthy or glowing?
Sometimes your skin doesn’t need an aggressive treatment. It needs the right treatment. A customized Hydrafacial cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates while allowing treatment to be personalized around your current skin concerns. It may be an option when your goals include hydration, congestion, dullness, enlarged-looking pores or maintaining healthier-looking skin.
Hair changes can happen for many reasons, including genetics, stress, illness, nutritional changes, hormones, medications and significant or rapid weight loss. That means hair loss should never automatically be treated as one problem with one solution. At State of Mind Salon & Day Spa, our hair and scalp approach may include HydraScalp with Keravive™ to support scalp cleansing, exfoliation and hydration. For appropriate candidates, we also use ResurFX 1565 nm fractional non-ablative laser technology as part of our hair-loss and thinning protocol. Research has investigated 1565 nm fractional non-ablative laser therapy for certain forms of hair loss. Sudden, unexplained, patchy or medically concerning hair loss may require evaluation by a physician or dermatologist.
Changes After Significant Weight Loss or GLP-1 Use
Why does my face, skin or hair look different after losing weight?
Significant or rapid weight loss can change more than the number on the scale. Some people notice changes in facial fullness, skin laxity, facial definition or hair shedding during or after substantial weight loss. There is no single treatment for these changes. We begin by identifying what has actually changed and then determine whether skin treatments, facial muscle stimulation, resurfacing, scalp support, professional skincare or medical evaluation may be appropriate.
Unwanted Hair
Is there a longer-term option for unwanted hair?
Laser and light-based hair reduction treatments work by targeting appropriate hair follicles to progressively reduce unwanted hair growth. The right treatment plan depends on factors including the treatment area, hair characteristics, skin type and individual assessment.
Not Sure What You Need?
Good.
You shouldn’t have to diagnose your own skin, choose a laser or understand the difference between IPL, fractional resurfacing and radiofrequency before making a reservation.
That’s our job.
Tell us what you see, what has changed and what you would like to improve.
We’ll help determine which options make sense for you.
Our Medical Aesthetics Technologies
Stellar M22™ by Lumenis
One advanced platform with multiple light and laser technologies. At State of Mind Salon & Day Spa, Stellar M22 allows us to address appropriate concerns involving pigmentation, redness, vascular concerns, skin resurfacing, texture and unwanted hair.
ResurFX uses a 1565 nm fractional non-ablative laser to deliver energy below the skin’s surface while leaving surrounding tissue untreated. We use ResurFX for appropriate resurfacing and remodeling concerns and, for appropriate candidates, as part of our hair-loss and thinning protocol.
TriLift approaches facial aesthetics differently by addressing more than the skin alone. The platform combines DMSt™ Dynamic Muscle Stimulation, TriPollar® RF and RF-assisted microneedling to address facial muscle tone and appropriate skin and wrinkle concerns.
Hydrafacial provides customizable cleansing, exfoliation, extraction and hydration for guests looking to improve and maintain the appearance and condition of their skin.
Medical aesthetics should never feel like choosing a machine from a menu.
At State of Mind Salon & Day Spa Salon & Day Spa, we bring together advanced technology, professional education and an individualized approach to beauty and wellness.
We want to understand what you are noticing, why it matters to you and what you hope to achieve before recommending a treatment plan.
Sometimes the right recommendation is an advanced technology. Sometimes it is professional skincare or a facial. Sometimes it is a combination. And sometimes the right next step is medical evaluation rather than an aesthetic treatment.
The goal is not to do more.
The goal is to choose what makes sense for you.
